Frequently asked questions
What is version 4.4 of electronic invoicing in Costa Rica?
It is the current version of the technical specification published by Costa Rica's Ministerio de Hacienda for electronic documents. It changed the XML structure, added fields and document types, and replaced version 4.3. Hora Invoicer is built on v4.4.
Can I invoice from my current ERP or POS?
Yes. Hora Invoicer connects to your existing systems, so invoices are issued automatically from the sale instead of being retyped in a separate portal.
How do I know whether Hacienda accepted an invoice?
Hacienda's response is delivered to your systems as a webhook event, so accepted and rejected documents are visible immediately and can trigger follow-up actions.
Can I manage several companies?
Yes. Hora Invoicer is multi-tenant: each company keeps its own credentials, cryptographic key and document numbering.
What do I need to get started?
Your Hacienda (ATV) API credentials and the cryptographic key issued by Hacienda for each company. We take care of configuration and integration.
